Marie’s Redcliffe Wedding
Marie’s bridesmaid Kylie (who had been a bridesmaid client of mine in Adelaide – see the blog HERE) contacted me only a week and a half before Marie’s Redcliffe Wedding asking if I was available to be her makeup artist at such short notice. Luckily, I had given myself that weekend off for another commitment that didn’t come through so it was perfect timing! Marie didn’t have a chance to get a bridal trial for her wedding, however she was very easy to talk to and communicate what type of makeup she wanted. As it was December, I suggested to try airbrush makeup as it is flawless and long lasting for her big day. As well as false lashes to complete the look off!
Marie and her bridesmaids spent the morning at Redcliffe hairdresses Blue Mango who did a fantastic job of her wedding hair style. Dianne and Monica were most welcoming of me to set up my little area for makeup and enjoyed watching the airbrush makeup being applied!
Marie’s flowers were also a stand out! First Class Weddings supplied the beautiful bridal bouquet for Marie and her bridal party. With a purple/mauve theme, Marie asked for a beautiful smokey eye for her wedding makeup with a hint of purple in it. Being quite a formal wedding theme, the bridesmaids also had false lashes to up the galmor!
Finally, a huge thank you for Samantha Munyard from Newborn Art for the beautiful photos of Marie’s wedding. As a makeup artist, I rarely get to see the wedding ceremony and repetition, plus the bride all dressed and ready to go. These photos capture the day perfectly, I highly recommend Sam for wedding photography.
It just shows, as much as I move around this country, a bridesmaid from Adelaide becomes a 2nd time bridesmaid client for me in Brisbane. Let’s see if Kylie follows me to Canberra for another wedding!
